These are papers that report significant clinical or basic research on the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of the different forms of periodontal disease. Some manuscripts will be returned without review, based on the Editors’ judgment of the appropriateness of the manuscript for the Journal of Periodontology. All manuscripts will be reviewed by the Editors for novelty, potential to extend knowledge, and relevance to clinicians and researchers in the field.
